The difference between 1/18 and Tapered lies in their respective shapes and sizes. 1/18 refers to a scale model size, typically used in the modeling and miniature industry, where 1 unit on the model represents 18 units in real life. Tapered, on the other hand, refers to a shape or form that gradually narrows or reduces in size towards one end. In the context of products or objects, tapered may refer to items that are wider at one end and narrower at the other, such as a tapered candle or a tapered roller bearing. **

Water pipes are tapered in the floors to ensure proper drainage and prevent the accumulation of water. The taper allows water to flow towards the drainage system, preventing standing water and potential damage to the pipes. This design also helps to prevent clogging and allows for easier maintenance and cleaning of the pipes. Overall, tapered water pipes in the floors help to maintain a safe and efficient plumbing system in buildings. **

Cone friction in relation to a tapered hole refers to the resistance encountered when inserting a cone-shaped object into a hole that is tapered. The friction is caused by the contact between the surfaces of the cone and the tapered hole, which increases as the cone is pushed further into the hole. This frictional force helps to secure the cone in place and prevent it from slipping out of the hole. The angle of the taper and the material properties of the cone and hole surfaces can affect the amount of friction generated. **
